Starting May 14, Stefan Gheorghiu, current general manager of Austrian real estate investment fund Europolis, will take over as the head of American real estate company Polimeni. According to sources close to the deal, the company specialises in developing shopping centres and will enter the local market. Gheorghiu had been general manager of Europolis, in Romania, for almost a year and a half, and had previously worked for eight years at Colliers International, the biggest real estate consulting company in Romania. At Polimeni, he will hold the position of country manager. When contacted by ZF, Stefan Gheorghiu did not wish to make any comments on his new appointment. Polimeni develops projects both in the USA and in Poland. However, Poland is the only location outside the American continent where Polimeni is present, and where it has developed projects worth almost 600 million euros on the retail and residential markets. Polimeni has 25 employees in Poland.
