Touch Diamond, the latest mobile phone available from the portfolio of High Tech Computer (HTC), is the best-selling model of the Taiwanese producer in Romania largely due to its modern look, say company officials. "Diamond is our best-selling and most popular phone on the Romanian market. Sales have seen a spectacular rise ever since early June, when the phone was officially launched," Tomasz Lesniak, HTC's Eastern Europe Area Manager. He did not provide a precise figure on the number of units sold, but implied that Diamond sales had exceeded those of the other HTC phones, available on the market since as early as last year. The phone is also included in the offer of Vodafone Romania, the local subsidiary of the largest mobile phone operator worldwide. "The HTC Touch Diamond model has proved very popular with our customers (...). Sales exceeded all estimates, and Diamond was the best-selling phone in our portfolio on its segment in the last month," Liliana Solomon, CEO of Vodafone Romania, told ZF.
