Kiseleff Tower looking for tenants

16.04.2003, 00:00 8

The construction of the Kiseleff Tower office building, a $50 million investment could begin this fall, Edmond Desliu, manager of the Romanian branch of the Germany-based Tercon, the originator of this project, told Ziarul Financiar. The project was announced a year ago, yet works were put on hold because Tercon has not found tenants for the building. "Our company has a prudent investment policy and construction works usually begin only after signing pre-leases for 50% or 60% of the total space," Desliu said. He added it would not have been a good idea to erect such a building sooner, anyway. " A few years back companies were looking for headquarters downtown, now Piata Victoriei is a very crowded place and tenants are starting to consider the Northern area - Charles de Gaulle Square and Casa Presei, " Desliu says. Kiseleff Tower, to be located near Piata Presei Libere, will be one of the tallest business centres in Bucharest, as it was designed to include four underground levels and 29 stories. ZF
