Larry Ellison packing bags for Romania

26.06.2003, 00:00 6

Larry Ellison, Oracle CEO and Chairman of the Board, as well as one of the richest people in the world (fifth richest, according to Forbes, due to his fortune estimated to $23.5bn) could come in Romania soon. The reason for his visit is to consider the possibility of opening an Oracle competency centre for the financial-banking sector. The idea of setting up the competency centre was prompted by a meeting between Larry Ellison and Nicolae Danila, Banca Comerciala Romana (Romanian Commercial Bank - BCR) chairman, during the Oracle Applications World, held in London these days.
