07.04.2004, 00:00 4

Milling and bakery company Loulis Romania has announced 34% turnover growth for 2003 of compared with the previous year to 40 million euros. "The growth was chiefly due to our production lines working at full capacity last year and to sales rising visibly," Nikolaos Voudouris, Loulis Romania chairman says. He added the increase in turnover was also helped by the considerable rise in the wheat price last year, which eventually led to the rise in the price of all finished products. The company estimates to see revenues upwards of 50 million euros this year. The data supplied by Loulis show it to account for 22% of the fresh bread market in Bucharest, for 50% of market of flour for industrial use and of packaged flour and for approximately 80% of the sales of corn flakes and expanded cereals. "Loulis is also a leader on the market in Targu Mures and on a 250 km radius around this city for every other product category. Our products reach 5.5 million consumers, which means 25% of the entire population of the country," Voudouris says. ZF
