Marriott gets promoted

Harp music accompanying breakfast, high-speed Internet, houseplants in rooms, live music in bars - all these are the features that will turn the Marriott Hotel into a five-star plus hotel. Following the conversion of the Marriott Hotel in Bucharest to a higher brand in the chain, JW Marriott, a range of new services will be introduced in order to reflect the new category of the hotel. "The feature that defines the JW Marriott brand is the luxurious personalised service. From now on, every customer will be offered welcoming drinks at the check-in and there will be welcoming gifts in every room. Every room will have a genuine houseplant, an umbrella and a shoe basket," Kurt Strohmeyer, general manager of the hotel on Wednesday explained. The new brand will also entail expansion of the business-specific services: high-speed Internet access in every room, conference halls and public spaces, 24-hour access to the Business Centre and Executive Lounge, which used to be open only during the day until now. Breakfast will be served with harp music in restaurants, and bars will feature live music. The hotel rooms will be stocked with Nirvae cosmestics, a brand especially designed for JW Marriott.
