Chinese-held DH Sport, the manufacturer and distributor of the DHS bikes will open a new factory close to Deva in November, an investment worth more than 5 million euros. The company owns another production facility in Petrosani, so that after the new factory will be opened, it will come to have a production capacity of nearly 500,000 bikes compared with 200,000 at the moment. "Once the Deva project has been completed, the production capacity will increase by approximately 150%. At the same time, the number of employees will double to about 350 people," Lucian Contras, DH Sport''s chief executive told Ziarul Financiar. He added that thus far the facility in Petrosani had seen nearly one million euros invested, which money was spent on production and storage space, on manufacturing lines and logistics. The company is currently manufacturing about 40 bike models, 10 baby pram models and 5 roller blades models. It is also selling spare parts and accessories for bikes and roller blades. Approximately 25% of its output is exported, mainly to European Union countries. ZF
