Arad-based S.I.L.M.ET Romania, which is part of the namesake Italian group specialised in manufacturing automobile body components, will begin construction of factory in the Pecica Industrial Zone (Arad), in a total investment of more than 4 million euros. The project that is to be completed next year entails construction of a 7,000 square metre production facility and of a three-storey building to host the reception, the offices, the administration and the technological services. "Our choice of this area for the factory was based on us wanting to be - logistically speaking, at the intersection of the European corridors IV and V, so that our products could easily reach our clients in Northern, Southern and Eastern Europe. We have contacts with representatives of the automobile and home appliances industry in Romania so that we hope we''ll be able to sign interesting contracts with them," Renzo Belcaro, S.I.L.M.ET group chairman told ZF Transilvania.
