Sweden''s SCA Packaging, the owner of the Zewa, Libero and Libresse brands, intends to integrate its production facilities on the Romanian market, where it processes corrugated cardboard. "We opened the facility that turns corrugated cardboard into packaging a few days ago, after investing close to 2.2 million euros. Depending on the development of the company''s business over the next three to five years, we may also invest in making corrugated cardboard," explained Laszlo Balint-Nagy, general manager of SCA Packaging Romania. The raw material the company uses at the moment comes from foreign suppliers approved by the group as well as domestic companies. "Prior to the opening of the Timisoara facility, the company''s turnover came almost exclusively from distribution. Our results on the Romanian market will be influenced significantly from next year," the SCA Packaging head said. The company''s sales in Romania amounted to approximately 2.6 million euros in 2003, with turnover increasing by 40% last year. ZF
