Spanish car brand Seat, whose domestic dealer network is held by Porsche Romania, plans to launch its most important sales centres outside the capital and targets 30 branches by 2012, against 20 at the end of last year. "By 2012, we want to reach a 30-dealer network, with a growth rate of 2-3 new dealerships a year," said Bogdan Militaru, Seat brand manager at Porsche Romania. At present, the Seat network numbers 20 dealerships in Romania, with 4 located in Bucharest. According to Porsche Romania representatives, the minimum investment required for a Seat dealership stands at one million euros, depending on the size of the service centre and the showroom. The largest Seat dealers in terms of size are those in Constanta and Cluj, which were set up in 2003 and 2006, and both display 9 models, after investments worth around 2 million euros in each showroom. "A new dealer is planned in Braila in the third quarter of 2009, which will include a showroom with 5 cars on display and a service centre. Braila currently accommodates just one showroom, with its dealer being located in Galati," said the Seat brand manager.
