The first list of young Romanian executives below 40 years of age is coming out today, April 26, published by BUSINESS Magazine. The "100 Young Top Executives" catalogue puts together the success stories of the business people who will be running the Romanian economy in the next five to ten years. Besides the well-known managers such as, Dan Ostahie (chairman of the Altex group) and Dragos Cinca (chairman of Flamingo) the list also emphasises the careers of executives who are not in the public eye, but nevertheless, have an important role in the development of their companies. For instance, Dragos Tanase (33), the chief financial officer of UPC, is in charge of over a 100 million euro budget and is co-ordinating the UPC-Astral merger, while Daniel Ionescu (35), co-ordinates the BitDefender business, the most famous Romanian brand in the West. The top 100 executives were chosen from most of the relevant business fields: IT, communications, banks, insurance, investment funds, real estate and constructions, advertising, auto or FMCG. ZF
