The shares of the national gas transmission operator Transgaz Medias (TGN) are likely to become available for trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange next Wednesday and replace the Transgaz allotment rights (TGNR01) traded since December 19, according to representatives of Raiffeisen, the main broker of Transgaz's IPO. "The Listing Commission and the Stock Exchange Committee will convene on January 22, and Transgaz shares are likely to become available for trading on January 23," says Laurentiu Ciocarlan, manager of the primary markets department within Raiffeisen Capital & Investment (RCI). In order for Transgaz shares to be transferred to the Stock Exchange, the company's allotment rights will be suspended from trading as of Friday, after the Central Depositary gave the Stock Exchange the go-ahead to take the necessary steps towards the listing of the national natural gas transmission company. "A meeting which would enable the transfer of Transgaz shares was planned for Friday. I don't know if the date has been changed," says Adrian Manaila, manager of EldaInvest and a member of the Stock Exchange Committee.
