UniCredit assets exceed 300m euros

08.03.2005, 00:00 7

UniCredit Romania concluded 2004 with assets of 12,605bn ROL (approximately 317 million euros). Compared with December 2003, the bank's assets went up by 77% in ROL. Against 2003 the total volume of credits granted by the bank increased 67% to a total of 7,592bn ROL (191 million euros), while the volume of loans in real terms went up 57.7%. The volume of deposits attracted from clients witnessed a 126% surge to around 3,840bn ROL (96.7 million euros). The fast growth pace was due to the reduced comparison base. Compared with the results announced for the first three quarters, the volume of assets was down slightly owing to the bank's continued focus on the corporate sector. The bank's policy aims of organic development and expansion of the network should lead to an increase in market share. Based on this policy, the bank opened a branch in Alba-Iulia at the end of last week, taking the total to 34. ZF
