Dacia makes up in France for falling sales in Germany

Dacia Logan sales on the German market, the primary exportdestination for Automobile Dacia in 2009, dropped by 21% in thefirst two months of this year, to 1,558 units, while Dacia Sanderodemand maintained at an almost constant level of 2,518 units (-1%from January-February 2010), according to the statistical dataprovided by KBA (German federal transport authority). Individualscontinue to account for most of Dacia brand's clients, with just27% of Logan and 13.8% of Sandero purchases being made bycompanies, according to KBA data. In the first month of the yearsales on the German market, where Dacia in 2009 sold almost 85,000units, stayed close to the value of January 2009, but in FebruaryDacia Logan acquisitions fell by 48% and Sandero ones by 27%.Things are completely different in France, the company's secondexport market, where sales hit almost 66,000 units. January andFebruary data centralised by French Carmakers' Committee (CCFA)indicate Dacia sales doubling up in France, to almost 15,000 units,from around 6,800 units a year ago.
