"The Romanian centre has around 200 engineers developing software,it is probably our only research and development centre exclusivelydedicated to software," said Raja Tabet. The company also has suchcentres in countries such as Israel, China and the US.
The Romanian team does not directly interact with the company'sclients, with the sales and marketing departments being located inanother European country, but the activity of Romanian softwaredevelopers maintains all Freescale's departments, says RajaTabet.
For instance, the "Microcontroller Solutions Group Auto" team inRomania writes and tests software for the chips using Freescaletechnology that go to clients in this industry like BMW, PSA,Renault Nissan and Chevrolet.
