AIG Life, the second largest player on the life insurance market, intends to launch an individual life insurance product in the first half of next year. Since spring the company has provided a life insurance product for groups that offers medical services in the Medlife hospital. According to the general manager of AIG Life, Theodor Alexandrescu, one of the benefits of individual insurance is that the insured party will be diagnosed in clinics and hospitals in the United States, with the treatment being carried out in Romania. Among the companies that sell life insurance are Aviva, Allianz-Tiriac, Generali, Asirom and BCR Asigurari (BCR Insurance). AIG Life is part of the American group AIG (American International Group) and posted business worth 45 million euros in the first nine months of the year, with gross profit worth almost 6.3 million euros.
