Bosch Rexroth, one of the divisions of the German group Bosch, last week opened a plant in Blaj,
which produces machine components, following an investment exceeding 11 million euros. To begin with, the plant will employ 180 people, with their number expected to rise within the next few years. The vice-president of the German group Roberth Bosch, Siegfried Dais stated, upon the opening of
the plant, that the Romanian factory was a "milestone in the group's worldwide expansion." Bosch Rexroth has opened production facilities in Slovenia, Hungary and China over the last three years, aiming to consolidate its position on the market. The Blaj-based factory is the 42nd factory held by the group worldwide, with representatives of the German company saying that the decision to choose this location was based both on a feasibility study and on the longevity of their ten-year partnership with IAMU Blaj.
