Representatives of Caucho Metal Productos (CMP), the Romanian subsidiary of the Spanish automotive components manufacturer is estimating a turnover of at least 12 million euros. "Our estimates take into account the volume of orders we have already taken for our plant in Sibiu. Currently, we have projects for car producers Volkswagen and Seat. We will also begin working with General Motors, and hopefully with Ford, as well," Marius Bologa, general manager of Caucho Metal Productos Romania, told ZF. He also stated that if all the planned projects for 2007 would be completed, the turnover of the Romanian branch could be as much as 2 million a month, 24 million for the whole fiscal year. The Spanish company completed the first phase of its investment in Sibiu at the end of October, after which production began. Caucho Metal Productos currently owns production capacities covering 2,000 square metres and employs over 100 people. The company's projects for this year will entail investments worth around 3 million euros in doubling of its production capacities in the plant at Sibiu.
