Each Heberger employee generates 1 million euro business

Heberger Constructii, the local subsidiary of German group Heberger, had a productivity of almost 1 million euros per employee, considering that it has 70 employees and a 65 million-euro turnover five years from entry on the Romanian market. The company subcontracts most works to Romanian firms, but it is preferred by real estate developers for its construction expertise. "The first five years on the Romanian market exceeded our expectations, especially since we had to start a business from scratch. In 2004 we had 3 employees and a 9 million-euro turnover, last year we had 70 employees and a 65 million-euro turnover," Claus Kegel, general manager of Heberger Constructii, told ZF. Although its turnover saw a spectacular rise, the company's net margin did not exceed 5%. The Romanian subsidiary already generates 25% of the German group's overall revenues, which amount to around 270 million euros. The company has been involved in the construction of Bucharest Business Park (the first modern office project in Bucharest), Floreasca Business Park (a recently completed 62 million-euro project), residential district Residenz, developed by Tiriac Imobiliare and by German group LEG (a 45 million-euro contract).
