Finance Ministry gets income info from employers

28.01.2004, 00:00 6

The Exchequer is getting ready to update its database of information about the incomes made by taxpayers in 2003 and subject to global taxation under the law. The individual taxpayers have until May 15 to file their tax returns. The data they provide will be checked against the data provided by the sources of those incomes, i.e. employers, first of all, though. The companies paying wages or any salary-like incomes are bound to issue the fiscal charts of the employees to financial administrations and to the employees by the last business day in February. At the same time, the companies paying intellectual property rights or having sold goods through consignation will have to submit the statements on the tax deducted at source for every beneficiary until February 29. Also included in this category are the incomes paid for the accounting expert work, fees, incomes made from contract work and independent incomes derived from the partnership with a legal entity.
