Furniture importer Corporate Office Solutions has four scenarios for 2009

Corporate Office Solutions (COS), one of the leading players on the Romanian office furniture market, is working with four budget drafts this year, given that the market progression in the second half of this year is difficult to predict. "We built one scenario which provides for 17 million-euro sales, the most optimistic one, and we consider this target to be achievable. Then we gradually decreased the value of sales. In the worst case scenario, we expect to reach a third of our current business, which would require personnel cutbacks," said Christophe Weller, managing partner of Corporate Office Solutions. The company posted turnover worth 15 million euros last year, up 13.5% against 2007 and in line with the initial estimates. Last year COS hired 50 staff, with the company's team currently amounting to 110 people. Weller says the office furniture market has yet to experience the shock wave of the real estate market, as there is a six-month lag.
