GPV Romania, a member of GPV Groupe in France, Europe's leading manufacturer of envelopes and corporate mail management services, last year derived turnover worth 10.8 million euros, up 8% on 2006. Early last year the company's management estimated an increase of 18% on the 10 million euros derived in 2006. The company posted turnover worth more than 6.89 million euro in the first nine months of 2007. Last year, French GPV group merged with German Curtis group and the new GPV-Curtis group annually produces around 17 billion envelopes. GPV Romania management says that the business in Central and Eastern Europe, a region that includes Romania, generates approximately 8% of the sales of the entire GPV-Curtis group, while before the merger this region generated 12% of GPV's sales. GPV Romania makes 600 million envelopes a year, while the overall production of the group stands at 17 billion envelopes a year.
