Grivita sells land worth over 8.2m euros

23.11.2005, 20:20 5

Primary and semifinished ferrous metal producer Grivita Bucharest will sell approximately 27,500 square metres of land together with the associated buildings, in sector 1 of the capital city, in close proximity to the factory. The company officials hope the deal will fetch at least 8.241 million euros, that is approximately 300 euros per square metre. The price of land in sector 1 varies from 200 to 700 euros per square metre. Grivita will probably collect less because taking down the buildings could entail additional costs on the part of the potential buyers. The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, which will debate the sale of the assets, will be held on December 26. The sale will be done directly, based on the offers submitted by the potential buyers, with the payment to be made when the purchase-sale contract is signed. The representatives of the company could not be reached for additional comment by the time of going to press. Grivita''s most important shareholder is Metanef, which owns 40% in the ferrous metal producer, according to the latest reports to the RASDAQ. ZF
