The sales of Cumpana water for water cooler systems saw an almost 30% increase last year against 2006, reaching over 4 million euros. "We saw a positive trend last year, an over 20% turnover increase against initial estimates, having preserved a steady profitability rate," said Valentin Nita, general manager of Cumpana 1993, the bottler of Cumpana water. He came to the helm of the company this year, replacing Florin Danila. The company plans to maintain its sales growth rate and its profitability rate in 2007, which stood at 7.8% in 2005, and in the long run, to enter the PET bottled water market. Cumpana sales could therefore rise 30% this year and reach over 5.5 million euros by the end of the year. "According to this year's estimates, we will see a steady increase. There are many companies operating on this segment, but this is compensated by the positive weather forecast, which favours an increase in water consumption," specified Nita.
