Over the past few days, the number of reports on purchases made by individuals with inside knowledge of the companies listed on the Stock Exchange has witnessed a rapid increase. In the last week alone individuals have taken advantage of declines on the Stock Exchange to acquire shares worth over 2 million euros. The biggest insider transactions were conducted with shares of SIF Oltenia (Financial Investment Company Oltenia), which were purchased by four companies held by SIF, which acquired shares worth 1.6 million euros (5.6 million RON). The four companies are Voltalim Craiova, which is entirely held by the SIF, and whose share capital increased by 2.4 million RON (0.7 million euros), Mercur Craiova store (MRDO), Comcereal Olt (CCOL) and real estate company Vidraru Curtea de Arges (VIRU). The purchases come after SIF Oltenia held the top position among the SIFs nine months into the year, both in terms of profit, and in terms of the value of its assets. Other popular shares over the last few days have been shares of the brokerage company Broker Cluj. Anton Ionescu, Ioan Cartis and Ioan Erhan (the company's main shareholders) purchased Broker shares worth 150,000 euros (over 0.5 million RON) during the same period. Floriean Firu, deputy general manager of SIF Transilvania (SIF 3) purchased shares in the investment company and Turism Felix, which totalled 82,000 euros (280,000 RON).
