Insurance company KD Life, a member of the financial Slovenian group KD, estimates gross underwritten premiums worth 2.4 million euros for this year, having invested 17.32 million RON (4.9 million euros) last year in its operations in Romania. "Our plans for this year target the expansion of our territorial network by three branches, to 11, an increase in our number of employees to 70 and the opening of three financial offices. In addition, we have started communication with insurance brokers with a view to closing partnerships, but we intend to concentrate on our own sales force," Ian Harrocks, chief executive of KD Life Asigurari told ZF. The company started operating on the market midway through last year, after having received a licence to do so from the Insurance Supervision Commission (CSA) on May 30, 2006.
