McDonald's Romania, the largest fast food restaurant operator, will invest almost one million euros to renovate its oldest restaurant in Bucharest, located in Unirea Shopping Center. The restaurant, which opened in the first half of 1995, will be expanded and refurbished this month, and will become operational by the end of May. "We have adopted a new, European design concept for the first time in Romania, because this is considered our flagship restaurant. The biggest novelty is that the restaurant will have a second floor, which will provide space for another 50 seats, a party area for children, and a new play area," Cristian Savu, communications manager at McDonald's Romania, told ZF. The restaurant initially operated on an 830 square metre area, accommodating 200 people. Following the renovation, the restaurant will accommodate 260 people.
