Omniasig Life has invested 2.5 million euros in building new headquarters in the Baneasa area, according to the company. Work started in October last year and could be completed next month. The building includes a basement, a ground floor and five additional floors, with the investment being self-funded. "When we decided to build the office, we took into account the development and expansion of the company," say Omniasig representatives. The company currently has 200 employees, against the 123 at the end of last year. In the first half of this year, the company posted business worth some 5.7 million euros (20 million RON), a 62% decline in euros against gross underwritten premiums seen in the first half of 2005. Out of the total gross underwritten premiums, 95.7% come from life insurance policies, and 4.3% from health insurance. The company made a profit worth 150,000 euros (over 0.52 million RON) at the end of June, a slight increase against earnings posted in the similar period of 2005.
