Petrom Aviation, a company that sells oil products used in the aviation field, logged more than 275,000 euros (11.1bn ROL) profit in the first six months of this year, after having posted some 140,000 euros (5.4bn ROL) in losses in the same time last year. The first half profit was better than expected by the company, which had scheduled 4.9bn ROL in the Spending and Revenue Budget. Petrom Aviation's turnover for the period considered was worth 4.5 million euros (183.1bn ROL), up more than 60% in euros compared with the sales in the first half of 2003. The management regards the results of the company as "satisfactory" compared with the target, a corporate report shows. The positive result trend was due to the market conditions and the advantageous contracts signed in the period considered, the report reads. ZF
