Remex creates its own models for higher profits

17.03.2006, 00:00 8

Furniture manufacturer Remex SA in Reghin estimates business and profits for this year will grow, after adjusting its strategy due to problems seen last year. "We will invest in developing our own models, which we will be able to sell on markets of several countries with a view to increasing our rate of profit and to avoiding market fluctuations. We will preserve our policy to create financial reserves of some 500,000 euros, as well as raw material reserves, which help us through rough times," Ioan Joarza, general manager of the company specified. The company predicts a turnover of some 4.6 million euros for this year, an increase compared to the 4.2 million euros in 2005, and a profit of 0.8 million euros against the 0.5 million euros seen last year. "Company sales were lower in 2005 compared to 2004 due to the euro decline, rejection of certain orders for efficiency-related reasons, massive changes of products manufactured and to the lack of orders during the summer," Joarza added.
