Romar in talks for expansion

Medical service provider Romar intends to double receipts this year following expansion of its network, the establishment of a private hospital and of a maternity. Romar in 2004 posted approximately 6 million euro (240bn ROL) turnover, said general manager Georgeta Serban. "Since our entry on the market in 2000, we have seen annual growth of 300% for our revenues, following territorial expansion," the Romar official stated. The investments to be made in the hospital and maternity, both of which situated in Bucharest, are estimated at 4 million euros. The private maternity will be inaugurated by the end of the year and the hospital some time later, according to Serban. The company''s expansion plans target establishment of a new clinic every quarter of the year, with the investment budget allocated in this regard amounting to approximately 3 million euros this year. The company had come to operate 30 private clinics in the entire country by the end of last year, with the most recently opened centres being in Ploiesti, Galati, Iasi and Constanta. ZF
