02.07.2007, 18:08 8

Rompetrol Downstream, the retail division of the Rompetrol group, estimates a turnover of 1.9 billion dollars (1.42 billion euros), up 46% on last year, prompted primarily by the expansion of its petrol station network. "The announced increase is based on the integration of the six petroleum product warehouses that were taken over at the beginning of the year by Rom Oil (wholesale distributor of petroleum products), on the increase of the market, and on the expansion of the fuel distribution network," stated Radu Soare, brand manager of Rompetrol Downstream. The company's six warehouses were taken over at the beginning of the year from Rom Oil (part of Rompetrol) and are located in Arad, Craiova, Mogosoaia, Simleul Silvaniei, Vatra Dornei and Zarnesti, covering the whole Northern part of the country. From these warehouses, the fuel is transported and distributed to Rompetrol's network, which consists of over 350 petrol stations.
