TCE expects 11m-euro business

26.04.2006, 00:00 7

The Bucharest-based cargo and fast courier service operator TCE, a member of RTC holding, owned by businessman Octavian Radu, estimates a turnover worth 11 million euros this year, a 70% increase against last year. "The growth is due to the constant increase in our client portfolio and to the increase in the volume of goods that we ship. The fact that we have also been delivering envelopes since the end of 2004 has bolstered this growth. We estimate to see a significant increase in our postal services for 2006, a trend that has so far been confirmed," stated Sorin Sofian, general manager of TCE. The Bucharest-based company allocated 1.5 million euros for investments this year. "Investments for this year are aimed at two objectives: increasing quality of services, as well as diversifying the range of products offered, and, in terms of quantity - a steady increase in turnover," explained Sofian. Investments will be oriented towards opening two hubs (warehouses for merchandise sorting and for fast shipment into the country) in Arad and Brasov, as well as towards boosting the car fleet. Cargo services accounted for 65% of TCE''s turnover in 2005. "On the cargo segment, we had a 15% market share worth about 30 million euros. We intend to increase our market share to 18% in 2006, taking into account companies that provide logistic services to third parties and not those who ship their own goods," explained Sofian. ZF
