French company Le Belier, one of Renault suppliers, intends to open a new plant to manufacture aluminium parts in Romania. The products will be aimed at steering and brake systems.

Le Belier will join another two Renault suppliers having recently entered the Romanian market: Sylea, which will manufacture electric wiring, and Johnson Controls, car seats maker, Constantin Stroe, Automobile Dacia Pitesti general manager, told Mediafax.

The companies decided to enter the Romanian market after Renault had purchased the controlling interests in the Romanian car manufacturer Dacia Pitesti, expecting to get involved in the processes of Dacia quality improvement and the construction of the new models.

Le Belier also supplies automakers Volkswagen, MAN, Volvo, Skoda, Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Honda, Chrysler, Ferrari and General Motors with car parts.

Beside France, Le Belier is also present in Mexico, Italy, China and Hungary. The company registered about 117 million euros in turnover last year.

Sylea is a member of Valeo Group, ranking among the top ten largest suppliers of equipment and truck systems in the world.

The company is one of the most important manufacturers and distributors of electric wiring in Europe. It also operates in Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Iran, Morocco, South Africa and Turkey.

Johnson Controls, car seats, interior systems and automotive battery manufacturer, has more than 80 subsidiaries throughout the world and 105,000 employees.

More than one third of the cars manufactured in North America are geared with Johnson Controls automotive systems and 40% of the sales are generated from the trade with General Motors, Ford and Daimler Chrysler.

The company registered over 17 billion dollars in sales and 472 million dollars in net profit last year. Mediafax
