An Italian at AmCham

Roberto Musneci, GlaxoSmithKline's director for Romania, is the new president of the US Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania), replacing Obie Moore, managing partner within Salans/Moore, Vartires & Associates law firm. The organisation has also appointed Dan Ionescu (General Electric) and Matthew Price (Procter&Gamble) as vice-presidents, while Ron Barden, from PricewaterhouseCoopers, was awarded the position of treasurer. The Board also includes Henk Mulder (ABN Amro Bank), Nikolaos Koumettis (Coca-Cola Romania), Radu Enache (Hewlett-Packard), Obie Moore and Rory Lubic (Timken). "This year is crucial for Romania's integration in the European Union, within the Euro-Atlantic context. Joined efforts by authorities and the business community are vital for striving toward a better business climate," said Roberto Musneci, the new president. Amcham Romania is a non-profit, apolitical organisation that was set up in 1993 by American investors in Romania. At present, AmCham Romania has over 170 members. ZF
