Cotroceni Park, Baneasa Shopping City andBucuresti Mall hold the top three positions. What makes them standout from the rest of malls in the city? Cotroceni Park has the mostlikeable design, the best car park and the most attractiveentertainment areas both for adults and children, arguments thatturned the most expensive mall ever built in Romania into theleader of Bucharest shopping centres. After Cotroceni Park, a mallthat took investments worth 300m euros, second came the project ofGabriel Popoviciu, Baneasa Shopping City, which consultants see asthe mall with the best management, tenant mix, food-court area andpositioning. The mall missed the top position because of its moredifficult access and the lack of an entertainment area. UnireaShopping Center, followed by the first modern mall built inBucharest, Bucuresti Mall, boast the highest financial efficiency.The two projects entailed much smaller investments than the mallsraised during the real estate boom, so that yields registered byowners are still high even amid crisis conditions.
