Lafarge Agregate Betoane sees losses widen by 43%

Lafarge Agregate Betoane (AGEM), a company controlled by LafargeFrench group, registered revenues worth 126m lei (around 30m euros)last year, down 1% year-on-year, according to audited financialstatements published on the company's website.

On the other hand, the company's losses climbed by 43% to 11mlei (2.6m euros).

"The project dearth on the aggregate and concrete market isstill obvious, though some infrastructure works are underway, at aslow speed. The infrastructure field is expected to grow in the2011-2015 period at a slower pace than the constructions industryoverall," reads a report presenting the company's unauditedfinancial situation.

Lafarge Agregate Betoane last year had 325 employees on average,down from 350 in the previous year. According to the same report,the weight of the concrete-related operations in the company'stotal turnover reached 25.8% last year, with the rest of turnoverbeing generated by mineral aggregates.
