Terapia Ranbaxy sales resume growth in second quarter

The sales of Terapia Ranbaxy, part of the Indian Ranbaxy group, fell 14% in the first half of this year, compared with the corresponding period in 2007, and reached 57 million dollars (more than 36 million euros) as a result of the impact and reforms in the health care field on the pharmaceuticals market, according to the half-year report of the Indian group. After having posted 29% sales decline in the first quarter of this year, to 26 million dollars (more than 16 million euros), Terapia Ranbaxy saw sales reach 31 million dollars and an increase of 5% on April-June 2007. Compared with the first quarter, the sales in the April-June period grew by 17% and revealed a gradual improvement of operations and the positive impact of the introduction of a new drug prescription method, by brand, starting from April 1, according to the information in the report.
