Turkish-based Kastamonu Entegre, owner of Prolemn, one of the largest players on the wood processing market, plans to invest in a second plant in the town of Reghin. The company has not decided on the capacity of the plant yet, or on the sum to be invested, but, according to previous statements from company representatives, the sum could amount to as much as 100 million euros. "We will probably produce melamine-faced particleboard, but there are other options, as well, which we will shortly decide on," Mehmet Ilhan, Prolemn's sales and planning manager, told ZF. He did not specify who were Romania's competitors for this investment, saying that the company "has projects in several countries." Kastamonu Entegre posted turnover worth 70m dollars (50m euros) last year and forecasts a 100m-dollar turnover for this year.
