UDMR (Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania) maintains a reserved attitude towards the governing party, as the Alliance leader Marko Bela considers that a meeting between UDMR and PSD representatives is necessary, since "the nationalist statements of several representatives of the governing party have become more and more frequent."
The recent statements of PSD representatives "seem to ignite the situation and to generate tensions between UDMR and the political parties, between the Magyar minority and the Romanian majority," Marko Bela said.
