Flamingo International (FLA), which in terms of turnover ranks third on the Romanian electronics and electrical home appliances market, invested 1.5m euros in its 21st Flanco World store. The biggest Flanco World store, with a commercial area of 3,200 square metres, is located in Grand Arena shopping centre in southern Bucharest. The store is part of the company's expansion programme that targets a total retail area of 70,000 square metres by 2008, with another 9 large stores to be opened by yearend. "The implementation of the biggest Flanco World project in a new shopping centre in southern Bucharest is a natural step in Flamingo International's consolidation strategy," stated Jiri Rizek, the company's general manager. For this year, Flanco World has budgeted turnover worth 210m euros, with summer sales to contribute 15% to the figure.
