HP seeks 600 people for 2011 for Bucharest services centre

Hewlett Packard (HP), the domestic subsidiary of the world'sbiggest IT company, is set to hire 600 people next year for itsGeBOC services centre of Bucharest, after having recruited asimilar number of people in the first ten months of this year.


"By this October, when the fiscal year ended for HP, we hiredfor the 600 new positions we'd announced. We plan to hire a similarnumber of people in 2011 as well," said Alexander Weigl, managingdirector with the GeBOC centre.
The company's representatives say that 2,500 employees work atpresent at the centre. HP last year reached 88m-euro turnover andincome worth almost 17m euros, according to Trade Registrydata.
"Whereas three years ago we looked for candidates withoutexperience for entry-level positions, at present we're seekingcandidates with at least two years' experience, with sales andclient relationship abilities," specified Anca Tapai, a recruitmentmanager with HP Romania.
