04.02.2003, 00:00 8

The Romanian branch of Xerox ended 2002 with $28.3 million turnover, up 5% since 2001, while profit amounted to $5.9 million. The company officials feel these results reflected "the best year in the company's history on the Romanian market." "We accomplished our operating and financial goals, we launched 12 new products and reasserted our trend-setter position on the market. What we had said early last year, that the future belongs to professional services, was verified by the subcontracting partnerships for document processing and management services," general manager Valeriu Nistor was quoted as saying by Mediafax. Xerox Romania has been operating on the domestic market for more than 30 years and is part of the Xerox Corp. European division. The company offers a wide range of products, solutions and services, as well as consumables and software. One of the most important deals for Xerox last year was a $3 million contract for the management of Raiffeisen's document flow. At the same time, the parent company Xerox Corp took Wall Street analysts by surprise announcing results beyond expectations for the last quarter of 2002. ZF
