11.06.2007, 23:16 18

Alcoa Fujikura, a producer of electrical wiring for the car industry, posted a 6.25 million-euro (21.06 million-RON) turnover in the first three months of the year, a 38% increase on last year, when this indicator stood at 4.55 million euros (15.9 million RON). "The main factors, which contributed to the trend, in the first three months of the year, were the opening of the production facility in Beius, Bihor county and the development in Nadab of two projects specifically for Skoda cars - projects, which reached their maximum capacity in the first quarter," Laura Lupse, financial manager of Alcoa, told ZF Transilvania. As a result of the trend in the first three months of the year, the company management continues to confirm the estimated turnover made at the beginning of this year. Alcoa Fujikura estimates an approximately 31 million-euro turnover for this year, a 40% increase on last year.
