Comelf Bistrita, producers of equipment for enviromental protection saw a net profit worth 0.2 million euros (0.73 million RON) in the first quarter, 30% more against the profit seen in the corresponding period of last year. The company''s turnover stood at 6.37 million euros (22.7 million RON), witnessing a 9.5% increase against the first three months of 2005. Sales even exceeded the 6 million euros budgeted for the first quarter. For this year, Comelf has budgeted a net profit worth 1.26 million euros (4.41 million RON), 61% more than in 2005. The turnover is to amount to almost 26 million euros (90.6 million RON), compared to sales worth 23.7 euros in 2004. Some 85% of Comelf''s production is to go to foreign markets, mainly to Italy, France, Austria, Germany, Belgium and Egypt. The company is controlled by Uzinsider Bucharest, which owns over 76% of the shares. ZF
