Elba Timisoara's business target: no less than 44m euros

08.03.2009, 15:52 19

Lighting fixtures manufacturer Elba Timisoara expects to see similar turnover this year to the 44 million euros posted in 2008, with the estimates being based on orders recorded so far. "We hope our short-term results will not fall behind last year's 44 million euros. Orders continue to come equally from the automotive sector and from the lighting systems sector," said Gheorghe Cocian, general manager of Elba Timisoara. Elba's biggest client for its headlamp facility continues to be Dacia, to which it supplies lighting systems for the Logan range and for the future SUV, which will be launched in autumn. Elba exports headlamps both to Russia and to Western European countries, but to a lower extent. "We have also manufactured headlamps for the future SUV. The plant's activity directed at the automotive sector will, however, also depend on the production of the plant near Pitesti (Dacia plant i.e.). We also hope to become a Ford supplier in the coming period," Cocian added.
