Belgian-based Delta Extinctors, a manufacturer of fire extinguishers for cars, intends to invest 2 million euros in building a plant in privately held industrial park Arc Parc in Dej, Cluj county. Representatives of the company that manages the park have announced that the Belgian investors will manufacture fire extinguishers for Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Jaguar, Audi and Volkswagen. "Currently, few cars and offices comply with safety norms and have the means to put out fires, but this will improve over time," Adriana Cristea, general manager of Arc Parc, told ZF Transilvania. The new production facility will be located on a 2-hectare plot, and will employ 50 people. Delta Extinctors currently holds two production facilities in Belgium and is involved in the production and distribution of extinguishers to over 20 countries in Europe. Officials of the industrial park say this will be the third production facility in the automotive field in Dej, after Trelleborg and Kolbenschmidt Pierburg both opened facilities.
