Logitech: Keyboard, mouse and speaker sales to fall this year, as well

Sales of PC peripherals (mice, keyboards, speakers, webcams etc)in Romania will shrink to around 18 million euros this year,following the decline of computer sales, estimates CameliaBarbălată, country manager for Romania and Bulgaria of Logitech,one of the leading players on the market.


"After the 45% fall recorded in 2009, the market decline wasslower in the first half of the year, by 25-30%. But even if wehave a good sales season in the second half, the market will stillfall by 10-15% for the full year," the Logitech manager told ZF."The best year for the peripherals market in Romania was 2007, whensales exceeded 30 million euros. In 2008 the market went down justwhen the holiday sales season was supposed to begin, in November,"said the Logitech manager.
In 2007 Logitech's turnover was 8 million euros, and fell 30% lastyear.
This year the company expects a 25% share of a market put at 18million euros, after Logitech's revenues rose 30% in the firsthalf.
