Salomon brings others along

17.06.2004, 00:00 12

The decision of French company Salomon, one of the world leading producers of sports equipment, to relocate its ski and ski boot production facilities to Romania has made other French companies, its long-time partners, follow suit and invest in this country. One such company is SavRom Mulaj, which specialises in precision parts and components made by plastic injection moulding. Their investment in a factory in Deva was worth over 5bn ROL (110,000 euros). "If everything goes according to plan, by the end of the year we'll be making 6bn ROL worth of plastic components every month. We expect to see 2005 turnover reach over 100bn ROL (2.5 million euros)," Sorin Clenciu, SavRom Mulaj manager stated. ZF
