Synevo, the medical laboratory service company of Medicover Holdings of Sweden, estimates its turnover will reach 5.6 million euros for the year, up 30% on 2003. Synevo made 4.3 million euros in turnover in the first nine months of the year, higher than in the corresponding period of last year. "We attained 20-30% growth year-on-year," stated Dan Lazarescu, Synevo's general manager. It expects a 7.5 million-euro turnover for 2005. The company completed a 750,000-euro investment in the opening of two new laboratories at Campulung Moldovenesc and Radauti, which, along with the laboratory in Suceava, will service approximately 65% of the population in Suceava county. Synevo has invested almost 4 million euros in equipping its eight laboratories throughout the country since entering the market. In May this year, Medicover Rombel, the laboratory service division of the Medicover network of private clinics, changed its name to Synevo and became a separate entity from Medicover Romania. ZF
